FAQ

Every venue has different rules, room layouts, and safety systems, so it’s completely normal to have questions before choosing the right cloud effect. Our machines use two different technologies, traditional dry ice for the thickest floor-hugging clouds, and ultrasonic fog for venues with restrictions, each offering its own benefits. The FAQs below cover the essentials, with more detailed guidance available on our full FAQ page.
Dry ice creates CO₂ fog that stays low to the floor and does not rise, which is why many venues allow it. However, every venue has its own policy, so you’ll need to confirm with them directly before booking.
Dry ice produces the thickest, lowest “cloud” effect and looks incredible for first dances and photos, but it has a shorter run time and stricter safety requirements. Ultrasonic fog creates a similar low-lying look with no dry ice at all, ideal for venues with restrictions or for couples who prefer a simpler setup.
Both options are available. You can dry-hire a machine for your event, or book a technician to set up and operate everything for you. If your venue has strict requirements, a technician-operated service is usually the safest option.
The effect stays low and dissipates fast. Most guests will never come into direct contact with the fog. If you have specific medical concerns, we recommend checking with your venue and photographer for guidance.

Some do, some don’t. It depends on their fire alarms, airflow, and safety policies.
You’ll need to speak to your venue directly to confirm whether they allow dry ice, ultrasonic fog, or both.
